Wakanosho looked like he was well on his way to climbing up through Maegashira until he had to pull out on Day Seven after being wheeled out after a terrible fall on Day Six. Diagnosed with a right femur contusion, he decided not to have surgery. In his short time as a Maegashira, he has displayed the kind of ring sense a pusher-thruster needs to succeed. Hope he's healthy and able to show it more in September.
